Throwback To Municipal
15 09 2009What’s going on Cleveland!
I hope you’ve been enjoying the month of September and even though the Browns are off to a slow start, that’s no reason not to celebrate some of the great things that have been going on here in town. We recently went to the Dragon Boat Festival down by the river and had a great time checking out the rich culture that is tied into the festival. Don’t forget that Cleveland Beer Week is also coming up next month too for all you sud-buds!
Onto the big news; our new shirt! Our latest design honors a recognizable sign in Cleveland history-Cleveland Municipal Stadium.
-Click the shirt to be taken to the order form-
Long gone are the days of going to the old stadium and seeing Len Barker, Brook Jacoby, and Gaylord Perry play ball or Webster Slaughter and Brian Sipe defend the home turf, but the Gate E shirt reminds us all of our past while looking towards the future of our city! Personally, I can still remember walking into the stadium with my family as a little kid to go see an Indians game during the first days of what would become our powerhouse of winning during the 90s, seeing Albert Belle, Jim Thome and more-the stadium may have been old and cathedral-like, but it was our house as fans and I have very fond memories of Muni Stadium.
The stadium was opened in 1931 and was home to Indians and Browns games, as well as the World Series of Rock by WMMS, a Beatles concert, and many other events. Eventually the stadium was demolished in 1996 where our new stadium now sits. Most of the remains of stadium were tossed into Lake Erie to create an artificial reef for the lake’s ecosystem.
We really love this shirt and I’m pretty sure you will too, Gate E has a great nostalgic, worn look to itself and it will make you think back to walking through the turnstiles to go see a game at the old ballpark.

Fall Into Autumn!
26 08 2009Greetings Cleveland! The weather’s still beautiful out and so is the city. Recently we had a company get-together at Anthony’s in Little Italy and after dinner we all spent some time checking out the area. If you’re not from Cleveland, or you are and have never been to Little Italy then make sure you swing by the east side sometime really soon! It’s full of Italian culture, music, and not to mention the great food! Check out Anthony’s online at: http://www.anthonysoflittleitaly.com
Today we’re releasing some new shirts in honor of our favorite places around town including St. Clair, and the world-famous West Side Market-take a look!
To order, please click on the Collision Bend Clothing order form.
On the “Streets of St. Clair” shirt, we’ve taken buildings that are located on St. Clair and redesigned them to fit on our one of a kind shirt, along with a souped-up street sign straight from the east side!
Our new “West Side Market” tee features the famous clocktower that signals that you’ve arrived in Ohio City! Pick up this great new style and wear it the next time you’re getting groceries down at the Boutros Brothers or Mel’s Deli!
We’re a new company in Cleveland, and you’ve seen our logo around the area; now you can wear our revamped logo on our new ringer tee. The “Collision Ringer” t-shirt shows off our logo which was taken from the viewpoint of the Lorain-Carnegie bridge just off of Ontario St. We’ve had a high demand for a shirt with our logo on it, and we hope you’ll wear this with pride from your only source for the best in Cleveland pride apparel!
Finally we have our “Plain White CLE” tee which takes you back to the 70s with our simple, retro look. If you long for the days of big hair, disco, and the times when Cleveland was just establishing itself as the world’s premiere source for rock n’ roll, then this shirt is for you! You can also get this tee, and all our other shirts in any of our other alternative colors as well.
As always, these designs are inspired, and made right here in Cleveland-everything you see on our shirts are straight from our city and proudly shipped to Clevelanders and misplaced-Clevelanders alike all over the world. Click here to be taken directly to the CBC order form, hosted by Printfection.
These shirts will make a splash next time you’re downtown or even out of town-either way, spread the love of Cleveland to everyone you see! Thanks for all your support, we appreciate the great response you’ve given to our company since we came on the market and please remember to support local businesses!

The Lazy Days of Summer
17 08 2009Welcome back Cleveland! We had another great weekend and hope you did too. We spent some time down at the Burning River Fest at Whiskey Island as our own Alex Bevan along with Alberta Cross and Blessid Union of Souls rocked the festival-not to mention the fantastic beer from Great Lakes Brewing! A fun times was had by all, and we were so happy to meet those of you that recognized our Think Cleveland shirts!
Over the weekend we worked on a new look for our Cityscape collection called “Collision”:
Our view of the Cleveland skyline in this shirt comes from University Rd. in Tremont. Next time you’re out that way check it out, it’s beautiful and you can see everything from the Key Tower to the Industrial Valley. Our inspiration for the cracked letters of CLE and our name came from a trip down to the Flats to see the real Collision Bend and the thought of decades past when ships would come within a few feet of colliding with the land due to the sharp turns in the Cuyahoga.
Hope you enjoy this tee and the little history lesson we gave; there’s so much going on in Cleveland lately and this tee represents all the good things that are to come for our great city and that every time you see that beautiful skyline you get a sense of pride.
Click here to be taken to our order form if you have any questions about this shirt or any other shirts from our collections please e-mail us @ collisionbendclothing@gmail.com

Internet Knockout and the Guardian
10 08 2009Good Evening Cleveland!
After a rough start to the day that included getting our server back online after the power outage we, and about 2,000 other west siders suffered yesterday, we’re up again and back to work.. It was a nice weekend out even with the heat. We had a great time photographing more images for the Cityscape collection, and enjoyed lunch at the Flat Iron Cafe in the Flats.
Today we’re bringing you our second shirt in our collection of Cleveland icons, the Guardian.
Four of these massive Guardians of Traffic adorn the Hope Memorial/Carnegie Bridge…two on each pillar. The Guardians have been icons in Cleveland since the early 1930s, they’ve seen everything from the 1948 World Series Champion Indians, to the building of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum-and now you can wear them on your very own shirt. Digitally printed onto the shirt, we shot this picture in HDR and made every detail on the sculpture the focal point of this design, we hope you’ll wear it with pride!
Click here to go directly to the Guardian shirt on our order form.
Stay cool out there everyone, and don’t forget to support Cleveland wherever you may be!
